Kate Milner

Kate Milner studied illustration at Central St Martin's, and graduated with an MA in Children's Book Illustration at Anglia Ruskin in 2016. Her work has been published in magazines, and her illustrations and prints have been shown in London galleries and national touring exhibitions.

Kate is passionate about libraries and has been involved with her local library in every kind of activity from Storytime for toddlers to teen reading groups.

Kate Milner is the 2016 winner of the V & A Student Illustrator of the Year Award. Her debut picture book, My Name is Not Refugee, is out now with Barrington Stoke (on their Bucket LIst). The book addresses the ongoing refugee crisis in Europe, telling the story from one boy's journey.

Kate has also illustrated an anthology of poetry written by Joseph Coelho for Otter Barry Books.
