Jonathan Stroud is the author of the world acclaimed BARTIMAEUS TRILOGY.

THE AMULET OF SAMARKAND, THE GOLEM'S EYE and PTOLEMY'S GATE,
the three titles of the trilogy published between 2003 and 2005, have been on the Bestseller lists in the UK, US, Japan and Germany.

The Trilogy has received the following awards :

The 2007 Children's Boook Award of the Jury of Young Readers, Austria

Formerly a children's book editor, he has written three previous novels for young adults. He lives in St. Albans with his wife, a children’s book designer and illustrator, and their two young children.

His new book, HEROES OF THE VALLEY, will be published early 2009.
